A family in Perth is coming to terms with an uncertain future after the death of father and husband Jaspreet Singh.
Singh's wife, Amandeep Kaur, was notified the moment her truck driver husband was killed in a crash with a freight train via an emergency alert text message.
"They were on each other's emergency contacts list, [the message said] 'SOS, Jaspreet has crashed at this location'," their 12-year-old son Samarveer Singh told 9News.
