Rustlers steal $3500 fibreglass cow in Melbourne

Betsy was taken early in the morning from a business premises in Truganina last month.

A group of people are sought after a life-sized fibreglass cow was stolen from a business in Melbourne last month.

Police have been told a silver Holden VE Commodore station wagon towing a trailer containing three unknown offenders attended the premises on Peterpaul Way in Truganina on Sunday, April 27, at about 1.20am.

Two people got out of the Holden, wearing balaclavas and dark clothing, while the driver remained at the wheel.

The first pair lifted the cow, dubbed "Betsy", into the ute's tray before driving away along Schembri Drive.

Betsy is red and white in colour and has an estimated worth of $3500.

Police have released an image of the missing bovine.
