Six people have been injured, with a driver fighting for life, and a major road south of Sydney has been closed after a crash between a truck and a ute.
A 20-kilometre stretch of Appin Road, just outside Appin was closed after 4pm.
The ute's driver, a 30-year-old man has been taken to Liverpool Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Four other people in the ute, including a woman in her 30s and three children were taken to Campbelltown Hospital.
The truck's driver was trapped for a short time, before he was rescued.
He is being airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.
Police are investigating the crash.
Several ambulances and firetrucks were on the scene.
