Two men have been charged with murder after a young woman died at a home in Ipswich, west of Brisbane, last night.

A 23-year-old woman from Afghanistan was found by police at a home in Springfield Lakes at 8pm yesterday.

She was unconscious and not breathing when police arrived.

Police are investigating the suspicious death of a young mother, after she collapsed at a Queensland home last night.

She was later declared dead at the scene.

Queensland Police Detective Inspector Michael Manago called the death tragic, with two children, aged three and four, home at the time.

"Detectives are running a number of lines of inquiry in regards to what's occurred overnight ... what transpired in the hours leading up to what's occurred will form part of our investigation," Manago said.

Police were first called to reports that the 23-year-old had collapsed.

Manago said the woman lived at the home with her husband, 26, and brother-in-law, aged 28, for a short period of time before her death.

He said both were Afghan nationals renting the split residence in Springfield Lakes.

Both men were arrested at the home and were later charged with one count of domestic violence murder.

Both will appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday, May 19.
