"It came in and I thought something like the coffee machine had blown up or something and then the whoosh of glass blasted through," she told 9News.

Grandmother Lianne, 62, was standing ordering her morning brew and ended up pinned between the car's bonnet and the coffee machine.

She was in hospital tonight with serious injuries to her legs and foot.

"Staff got out of the way, thank goodness they were safe. But this poor lady and the driver of the car, obviously they were hurt," Karen said.
