Chris Lake Announces Debut Album, "Chemistry"

The house music superstar revealed "Chemistry" ahead of his first-of-its-kind performance within Coachella's campgrounds on Thursday.

Chris Lake has announced his long-awaited debut album, Chemistry, arriving July 11th via his own label, Black Book Records.

The project marks a new creative chapter for the renowned house music producer, blending his club-tested sound with a wider artistic range. Alongside the announcement, Lake dropped a new single, "In My Head," a long anticipated collaboration with genre-blurring singer Amber Mark.

The news surfaced just ahead of Lake's groundbreaking performance at Coachella, where on Thursday night he'll become the first artist to perform a set within the iconic festival's campgrounds. On the eve of its first weekend, he's turning what's historically been a quiet prelude into a full-scale kickoff, treating fans to a high-energy DJ set packed with unreleased music, including a sneak peek at Chemistry.

"In My Head," which first garnered buzz during Lake's momentous Hollywood Boulevard takeover alongside FISHER, pairs his sharp production with Mark's radiant vocals. The track, which follows preceding singles "Ease My Mind" and "Toxic," fuses elements of deep house and R&B to further set the tone for what's shaping up as one of the year's top dance albums.

"This album has been a long time in the making, and it features some really special artists I’ve been lucky enough to work with," Lake said. "'In My Head' has been one of the most requested tracks from my sets—so people can finally stop asking me when it’s coming out."
