Noisia Member Sleepnet Launches New Project, Ring Noord, With Mind-Melting Debut Single: Listen

The new collaborative alias from Nik Roos and Former reanimates the spirit of Noisia with a cinematic, genre-warping debut single, "Wild Flowers."

Noisia may be gone, but their DNA is already mutating as former member Sleepnet launches a new alias, Ring Noord.

The new project is a collaboration between Sleepnet, whose real name is Nik Roos, and Dutch producer and visual artist Former. And its first chapter begins today with "Wild Flowers," a track as forward-thinking as anything in their storied past.

Out now via Noisia's VISION imprint, Ring Noord's debut single plants its flag in the same soil the influential group once scorched. More psychological than punishing, "Wild Flowers" is both a nod and a rupture, drawing from the tactile futurism that made Noisia legendary. Featuring the vocals of Former's sister, Asa, the track laces club energy with emotional nuance, a signal that this new project won’t opt to trade intensity for predictability.

It opens with scuttling synths, mounting pressure before fracturing into a sleek drum & bass cadence. Quick-cutting percussion slices through the mix while maximalist synth stabs flare in the background to form a dense, cinematic storm.
